Carlisle dairy cattle peak at 2800gns

Trade rose to a peak of 2800gns at Wednesday’s sale of dairy cattle at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.

Taking the top bid was a Holstein, Holmland Lee Countess from Messrs Bell. This Comestar Lee daughter is out of Ketby Countess 195. She sold to Alistair Laird, Blythbridge.

Second top was a 2500gns bid for Stowbeck Kendall Clara, an Alfrag Juror Kendall daughter out of Stowbeck Outside Clara. She also sold to Mr Laird.

Following in ar 2400gns was a Gillette Final Cut daughter from the Homland herd, Holmland FC Rolls. She was bought by A and B Bargh, Skelton.

In the Ayrshires on offer the top bid was a 2100gns call for Cuthill Towers Matilda from A and S Lawrie. She is by KC Roses Chatter T Red and out of Cuthill Towers Matilda 5. This was bought by Messrs James, Melmerby Mill, Penrith.
