Carlisle overall and junior championships awarded

After a marathon judging stint here at Carlisle Chris Jerman has got to the end of the classes and placed his junior and then overall championship line up.

The overall ticket, and also junior championship, went to the Evans family with the much talked about Lowerffryd Empire. This is an Objat son out of Dentox Valium, a Nenuphar daughter. He has a beef value of +37.

Reserve junior and reserve overall also was Masaiscote Esso, a Virginia Andy son out of Maraiscote Sugar, a Tyddyn Mei daughter. He has a beef value of +36 and was male champion at the Royal Welsh.

In the earlier junior bull classes the winner of class seventeen was Aghadolgan Emperor (lot 250) from R A Savage, second was Maraiscote Ember (lot 239) from the Nimmos and third was Stotsfold Edward (lot248) from Messrs Nixon.

Calss 18 was won by Maraiscote Esso (lot 254), second was Stotsfold Empire (lot 264) and third was Goldies Engineer (lot 265).

Then the winer in class 19 was Derriaghy Enfield (lot 277) from the Green family. Second in this class was Dolcorsllwyn Ellis (lot 281) from Glyn Vaughan and third was Kype Elliot (lot 272)

And in the final class the winner was Powerhouse Elite from Colin and Wendy Philips (lot 285), second here was won by Hackney Email from Paul Tippetts (lot 284) and third was Powerhouse Emblem (lot 283).

From all I’ve seen today my pick would be Derriaghy Enfield, he’s by the old time great Cannon and should be well among the money tomorrow with several breeders understood to be interested in this one.

No photos tonight I’m afraid, but we’ll get some to you tomorrow just as soon as we can…
