Carlisle Simmentals peak at 4200gns

Thursday’s Simmental sale at Carlisle saw prices peak at 4200gns for Blackpool Alpha, a September 2009-born Lamhoj Supery son from David Loftus. This one is out of Blackpool Maggie, a Gretnahouse Jackofalltrades daughter and sold to J Jewell, Aberystwyth.

A trio then shared the next highest call of 4100gns, with the first at this price the first bull in the ring, Urrvalley Alfie from Peter Brown. This one, the champion from the pre-sale show is sired by Dirnanean Salvador, this June 2009-born bull is out of Annick Natasha’s Rose, a Sterling Nelson 2 daughter and sold to Fishwick Farms, Carnforth.

The other at this price was another from the same home, Urrvalley Albert. He is by Keeldrum Schubert and is out of Urrvalley Sophie, a Curlieu Knight daughter. This one was knocked down to T Chalmers and Co, Canonbie.

The final bid at this price was made for Gerrard Andy from R H Carter and Son. Sired by Blackford Harvester, he is out of Gerrard Sally 21, a Cankern Titan daughter. He was sold to Courance Farms, Lockerbie.
