Castle Douglas BFL’s hit 6000gns setting new records

A new centre record at Castle Douglas last week saw a Bluefaced Leicester ram lamb from Maybole, Ayrshire-based John Kerr’s Craigskean flock sell for 6000gns to Messrs Wight, Biggar, Lanark for their Midlock flock. This lamb is by a Firth sire out of a Tygwyn ewe.

Second highest at 3400gns was Dumfries-based Alec Brown who sold a lamb with Riddings breeding on both sides to David Brown, Agglethorpe.
