Charolais females in demand at Carlisle

The limited female offering at Carlisle has also seen demand strong with Thrunton Apricot, a Talisman daughter out of a dam by Blelack Jaguar making 5000gns. She sold with a Solwayfirth Union daughter at foot and in-calf again to 22,000gns Newhouse Bigal.

And at 4500gns was the next lot in the ring, also from Thrunton and another Talisman daughter, Thrunton Bouquet. This one sold with a Bigal heifer calf at foot and in-calf again to Bigal.

That’s the end of our highlights from Carlisle, the Charolais sold 136 bulls to average £4851, while the Blondes sold 14 to level at £4200. I’ve got no news of the Limousin sale at Roscrea yet, but will bring you news as and when I have it……
