Charolais takes Omagh Fatstock show title

First time entrant Mary Hackett clinched top honours at Omagh Fatstock Show last week, with her 750kg Charolais steer taking the title under judge Sam Carmichael. This one went on to sell for ÂŁ1700 (ÂŁ2.26/kg).sup champ omagh.jpgReserve overall was Malcolm Fleming’s Charolais 660kg heifer whcih sold for the day’s top price of ÂŁ2500 (ÂŁ.378/kg). Winning the housewife’s choice award was Gerard Law, Kesh, with 640kg entry which sold for ÂŁ1600 (2.50/kg), reserve for this was Brendan McKenna, Clogher.
