Charollais champion sells for 1,400gns

 

A catalogued sale of 86 Pedigree Charollais Females on behalf of the Midland area Charollais Sheep Society attracted keen interest from both pedigree and commercial buyers alike. 

 

The judge for the day was Cyril Dougherty from Malton who had some very strong line-ups to pick from especially in the ewe lamb class.  This class was won by H S Ashley from Boston with a home bred twin born lamb which went on to win the Champion of the day and sell for 1,400 gns with others from the same farm selling to 820gns and 650 gns.

 

In addition to the Pedigree Sale a small sale of accredited rams followed with a wide variety of breeds on offer.
