Charollais in-lamb ewes reach 1750gns at Worcester

Many breeds have barely got going on the tup sales, but already the first in-lamb ewe sales of the season have been held, with Charollais in-lamb ewes selling to a top call of 1750gns at Worcester.

Taking this top call at the “Saucy Sale” was the best of the day from Jonathan and Carroll Barber’s Crogham flock, Norfolk. Their shearling ewe, by Rockvilla Ferrari and carrying twins to Kings Land Invincible, sold to Willie Ingram, Logie Durno, Aberdeenshire.

This money was given for an ET bred daughter of Galtres Dominator, sire of three Royal Welsh breed champions for Tim Prichard, which was sold in-lamb to Edbaston Juno, top priced lamb from this year’s premier sale. Buying this was E M Morgan, Carmarthen for a new flock.
