Charollais trade in Worcester topping at 8200gns so far

Some prices have come through to me for the Charollais sale in Worcester today where trade is currently be led by the shearling ram champion, Logie Durno Judge & Jury from William and Carole Ingram. This one is by Foulrice Gladiator and his grand dam was mother of Logie Durno Hercules who was first prize shearling at Welshpool and sold for 3000gns. She was also the dam of the first prize shearling ewe at the Highland in 2009. He was knocked down at 8200gns.

TS Lot 39.jpgAnother from the same flock, Logie Durno Jack Daniels and by Crogham Hannibal II followed at 4400gns. The dam of this one is maternal sister to the 2009 Highland interbreed champion  who was sold for 3750gns.

TS Lot 41.jpgLater on in the sale Rockvilla Klass Act, a December 2009 born ram lamb from Mr and Mrs D Mawhinney has sold at 3200gns. By Honddu Investigator this one stood first prize at Balmoral this year. His dam was one of the top ewe lambs at the Rutland dispersal and stood third in a strong gimmer class at Balmoral last year.

TS Lot 59.jpgMore from the Ingram’s in the ram lamb section as Logie Durno Kings Ransome was knocked down at 6200gns.

TS Lot 90.jpgThis one is by Rockvilla Golden Promise making him full brother o Logie Durno Jackpot, reserve at Worcester last year selling for 2600gns. Kings Ransom also has the third largest gigot shape from CT scan in the breed.

Straight after, Logie Durno Klassic sold for 5400gns. This was one is by Edstaston Jigsaw and is out of a dam purchased at Penrhos dispersal along with two other full ET sisters.
