Chelford Texel and Beltex highlights

These are the very brief highlights from today’s sale of Texel and Beltex in-lamb ewes at Chelford. A fuller report will follow early next week. I’ve no buyers details at the moment.

Taking the Texel championship and top price on the day was a shearling ewe from Charlie Boden’s Mellor Vale flock, BCM09018. She is by Logie Durno Odds On and out of a dam by Glenside Legacy. This one was in lamb to Hen Gapel Royal Gold, a Millars Outstanding son.TS Chelford Lot 90.jpgNext best in the Texels was a 1000gns bid for one from Gordon Gray’s Etttick entry. This was GGH09024, a Castlecairn 007 daughter out of a dam by Clynnogg Joe Tex. She was in-lamb to Mitchelhill Paparzzi.TS Chelford Lot 82.jpgIn the Beltex the best call was a 1300gns bid for the pre-sale champion from Allan Jackson. This was Headlind Nat, a daughter of the The Sub out of an imported dam. There are no details on the service sire at the moment.TS Chelford Lot 216.jpg
