Chrissie’s last day………….

Well I’m a little sad today, as it’s my last day in the office working for Farmers Weekly. For those of you who don’t know, after five and a half glorious years with the yellow peril I’m now branching out on my own going freelance – journalism, PR and marketing.

Never fear though I’m sticking in the livestock industry as I shall be working for the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society as their brand development manager for half my week, so the pedigree world haven’t seen the last of me yet. I’m also hoping Jonathan passes a little work my way now and then, so who knows I could make a return as a Taking Stock guest blogger.

As for the blog, I’m handing over to my partner in crime Jonathan where he will try and keep you just as up to date with all the goings on in the livestock world. One person (who shall of course remain nameless) refers to him as “superman” when it comes to blogging, so no doubt he’ll do a grand job!

Now I will be in action tomorrow at the East of England Winter Stock Festival covering the event and handing out some rather posh sashes that Farmers Weekly have provided so I hope to see some of you there.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my ramblings over the last couple of years and that you continue to tell all your friends about Taking Stock. No doubt I’ll see most of you on the show circuit and at various sales – and if you’re an Angus breeder – watch out – here I come!!!!!!

So thanks to my regular readers namely Miss Wales and Blue Grey Choir Meister who have kept me motivated while getting a numb bum in Carlisle or Perth – it’s been a pleasure!

Bye for now x
