The second annual sale of Limousins at Cockermouth last Friday saw trade top at 5000gns for Terrace Excalibur, an August 2009-born son of Maraiscote Benny from Ian Armstrong. This one is out of Terrace Betty, a Kype Sabre daughter. Carrying a beef value of 16 he sold to Thomas and James Whiteford, Tercrosset, Brampton.
Second best in the bulls was a 2500gns call for one from Thomas Tyson, East House. A pair of bulls from Matt and Craig Ridley, Haltcliffe then sold at 2100gns as did one from Brian Jones’ Bailea herd.
Then in the heifers on offer the leading call was a 4000gns bid for a Linarn Unique sired entry from the Harryman family, Keswick. This one sold to Stephen Milligan. Another from the same home then made 2100gns. (Mitchells).
