Commercial Holstein dispersal peaks at 1800gns

Prices peaked at 1800gns at the dispersal sale of the commercial herd of Holstein Friesians for Fernihough Bros, Heightington, Bewdley, Worcestershire.

Sale leader was a February calved heifer by an unknown sire off a 9231kg Knegnol Mandel Cevis daughter.  She knocked down to E S Hill and Son, Droitwich, Worcestershire.

Another February calved heifer sired by Willem S-Hoeve Journey sold for 1750gns to G S Briggs and Son, Taunton, Somerset.  She was out of a 8548kg 4.41% 3.44% dam.

Gott Farms, Eldersfield, Gloucester, paid 1700gns for an Askew Reece daughter having calved in February.  Her dam was a 9526kg Embryoworld Moviestar daughter.

Served heifers sold to 1050gns, bulling heifers 820gns and heifer calves 620gns. The 201 lots averaged £1002.41.
