Deeleview Charolais dispersal hits €9,000

The Dispersal sale of the Deeleview Charolais herd on behalf of Ian Maxwell, Convoy, Co Donegal hit a high of €9,000 when they went under the hammer at Raphoe Market at the weekend (27 September).

Hitting the headlines at €9000 euros was the ET bred Deeleview GI Jane, which sold with her Blelack Digger sired bull calf at foot. She is a Texan-Gie daughter, out of Deeleview April, who was one of the most successful cows within the herd. This outfit was the pick of Gilbert Crawford, Maghera, for his noted Coolnaslee herd. Also joining the pair at €7,700 was the Deeleview Viking sired cow Deeleview Beaute and her Elgin Davinci sired heifer calf.

In calf cows topped at €6000 for the Meillard sired Deeleview Donna, which sold in calf to Inverlochy Ferdie. Buyer was Andy McGovern, Co Leitrim.

Later in the sale her April 2014 born Inverlochy Ferdie daughter realised €3400 euros when selling to to John McGrath, Drumconnis, Omagh.

Next best at €5,000 was Deeleview Good Girl, who sold with her Hideal sired bull calf at foot to Andy McGovern.

Maiden heifers topped at €4000 euros paid for Deeleview Highlight a daughter of Crossmolina Euro. She sold to Richard and Selina Beattie, Omagh.
