Early Texel tup lamb highlights

The early ram lamb trade here at Lanark has been a steady one, with the pick of the trade so far a 2800gns sale for the second prize ram lamb from the open class from the Wilkinsons’ Arkle flock. This was Arkle South Pacific, a Cambwell Rob Roy son out of a dam by Newton Field King Pin and with an index of 331. He went to Stuart Currie for the Beautry flock.

Following a few lots later at 8000gns was the winner of the novice class from Richard Wood. This was Kingledores Scaramouche, a Glenside Ring A Ding son out of a dam by Kiltariff Osprey. He went to R Bennett, Metford, Powys.

And at 3000gns was Sheeoch Samson from Rodney Blackhall. This is by Courthill Rambo I and out of a dam by Garngour Nobleman, he had an index of 334 and sold to Mr Bell, Roxburgh Mill.
