First Deveronvale Perfection son sells

(E) Lot 74 Ffraw Ralph (1700gns) 01.jpgLeading the ram lambs at last weekend’s Chelford Elite Texel sale was the first son to be sold in the UK by 220,000gns Deveronvale Perfection.

 

Out of a ewe by Muiresk Noble Bruce, Ffraw Ralph was put forward by his breeder, Harri Evans, Anglesey. After interest from several bidders, this one sold for 1700gns to joint purchasers Martin Furness and Jeremy Spillane, both from Buxton, Derbyshire.

 

Top price of the day was paid for a shearling ram from Frank Rushton, Matlock. Freshfields Perfection, by Milestonehill O’Driscol and out of a ewe by Haltcliffe Jackpot made 1750gns and went to Miss K Martin, Ilkestone.

 

 

(E) Fresh Fields Perfection (1750gns) 02.jpgLeading the way among the females was one of only a few ewe lambs forward. This February born lamb from Messrs R E and D R Jones, Pwllheli is by Hull House Northern Star and out of a ewe by the 120,000gns Tophill Joe.

 

She attracted great interest pre-sale, but after a bidding battle between several parties, sold for 1550gns to joint purchasers James Ruggeri, Powys, and James McCaffery, Malpas.

 

(E) Lot 52 (1550gns) 04.jpgClose behind was a gimmer from David Houghton which sold for 1500gns. This February born twin, out of a ewe by Haddo Knoxie, went home with John Howard, Northallerton.
