First Western Holsteins sale of 2011 hits 2600gns

The first sale for the Western Holstein Club at Beeston Castle saw just 61 head forward for sale and prices peaked at 2600gns for Saxelby Pijet Charity Red from Janet Stafford, Melton Mowbray. This one is by Fradon Jet Red and is out of Saxelby Kite Charity, a Markwell Kite daughter. She sold to Redgate Farming, Wisbech.

Following that at 2200gns was Fordswood Champion Roxy 3 from Howard Walmsley. This is a Calbrett H H Champion daughter ET bred out of Stardale Cinder Roxy 2, a Highlight Mr Mark daughter. She was sold to S A Wayne, Stafford.

Then at the same money was one from Wilson Boow, Millom. This was Dunnerdale Drake Dawn, a Far-O-La Debbie-Jo Drake daughter out of Dunnerdale Rudolph Dawn 2 an Ex93 dam by Startmore Rudolph. She went home with Adrian Jones, Montgomery.

Mr Jones bought the next best priced lot at 2100gns, this being Carrick Bolton W Sietske from John Maddrell. She is sired by Sandy-Valley Bolton and out of Carrick Wade Sietske, an Ex91 Parker Aero Wade daughter.

A trio then made 2000gns, with the first being Preepark Baxter Marjorie from Howard Walmsley. This is by Baxter and sold to F H Cookson and Sons, Altrincham. Second to make this price was the champion heifer, Sandley Present 74 from the Sanderson family. This Braedale Pagewire daughter was bought by Redgate Farming.

And the Cooksons were back spending to buy the other at this money, Fingan Mr Sam Vera from Ballakilingan Farm. She is a Regancrest-Mr Drham Sam daughter.
