Gisburn dairy trade hits £2420

Top call at last week’s dairy sale at Gisburn was a £2420 bid for a fresh calved heifer from Andrew and Alison Holgate, Rathmell, Settle. This one is out of a Feizmor Storm dam and was sold giving 31 litres a day, finding a new home with J J Crosier, Gisburn.                                                   

Second best at £2050 was a heifer by New-World Empire from R M Shackleton, Broughton, Skipton, which sold giving 30 litres a day to Tom Wilson, Rockliffe, Carlisle.

And at £2020 was another going to the same buyer. This included an MD Delight Durham-sired heifer giving 31 litres a day from Colin Booth, Austwick.

Selling at £2000 was a heifer by Inspired Colonel from Jeremy Taylor, Broughton, Skipton. She went to David Coulthurst, Goosnargh, Preston.
