Heifer tops at 5100gns at Beeston

A maiden heifers sold for the top price of 5100gns at the Western Club’s Monthly Show and Sale of Holsteins, Beeston.

 

Dilligas Bolt Ladina is a daughter of Bolton and is bred from four generations of VG EX dams. Her dam is full sister to the famous Savage-Leigh Licorice. This one was put forward by Paul Mann of Falmouth, Cornwall and sold to Showell Farms, Nuneaton for their Moordown Herd.

 

A young second calver from sisters Katie and Amy Miller, Evesham, Worcestershire went for the next best price of 3700gns. Shanael Jordan Roxy, a three year old VG87 cow, is a daughter of Roylane Jordan. She gave 1000kg as a heifer and is giving 47kg daily with her second calf.

 

She went to the show judge, Ceri Jones, Abercych, Boncath who previously awarded her champion in the pre show sale.

 

At 3500gns, the Toystory daughter, Dilligas Toy Durham Merry 2 sold to the new partnership of Glitzy Glam Holsteins, Weston-under-Redcastle, Shrewsbury. She is bred from five generations of VG/EX dams.

 

Next in the milkers was Shavington R Rock Samantha Red, a fresh red heifer by Baileys Red Rock. Consigned  by Harold and Pat Crapper, Dronfield, Derbyshire, she sold for 3100gns to the McClurg family, Crossgar, Northern Ireland.

 

Another heifer from Paul Mann went for the next best money of 2800gns. Dilligas Advallie Red is by Advent and out of the eighth generation VG/EX Miss Arsenio Allie Red. She joins Peter Mercer’s Sandringham Herd, Crewe.
