Junior bulls coming to an end

In the last class of Simmental bulls here in Stirling, Michael Barlow has just sold Denzies Womaniser (lot 190) by Ashland Tornado out of a Pasturefields Hartshorne bred dam for 5000gns to Roy Loud, Highbridge, Somerset.

Another from the McGowans, Dirnanean Wrangler 1 (lot 192) by Burndennett Spain out of Dirnanean Lindy with a milk figure of +8 and a SRI of +33 has gone at 4500gns to Mr Morison. Just shy of that figure Jim and Patricia Goldie have sold Newbiemains Wilber (lot 193) by Kilbride Farm Rainman out of Monaduff Trish has gone at 4400gns.

That’s now it for bull trade here in Stirling. I think many present here will agree with me that trade has been absolutely crazy for the quality on offer. Many ringsiders and breeders have commented on what a “non vintage” offering it was so no doubt the Society will be more than impressed with the average of £4751.83 for 135 sold out of 153 forward. I belive this is about £200 up on last year’s sale.

Females will be on offer at 4.15pm but we may not be blogging that live as it means we have to swap rings (and computer stations!).
