The served heifer Goldies Farah made 28,000gns to lead the bidding at a collective sale of females from several of the breed’s top herds at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.

By the 24,000gns Sympa son Ampertaine Bravo – a top winner proving to be a top producer – Farah was consigned by Bruce Goldie and is out of the Goldies Terence sired Goldies Bertha.

Farah has a Beef Value of LM+44 and was scanned in-calf to Hartlaw Excaliber. She goes to Herefordshire with Nick Layton who also gave 10,000gns for C Williams t/a D A Williams’ Wilodge Goldenmoment. This January 2011-born ET heifer is by the 50,000gns Wilodge Cerberus and out of a Cloughhead Lord dam. She has a Beef Value of LM+32.

Bidding kicked off in style with a 27,000gns call from Nigel and Jane Matthews, Bridgnorth to secure Wilodge Flawless.

This ET-bred maiden heifer has an impressive Beef Value of LM+55 and is by Objat and out of the Wilodge Vantastic cow Wilodge Diamante.

Heading for Eire with Gary Morrissey at 10,500gns is the maiden heifer Goldies Mojo (Beef Value LM+32). She is by Vantastic and out of a Domino dam. Goldies Gaynor continued the keen demand for the herd’s females when she was knocked down at 9000gns to Eire buyer Eddie Lynch.

She is the first daughter of the Rossignol son Haltcliffe Doctor be offered for sale and is out of the Ampertaine Bravo cow Goldies Dame. Gaynor has a Beef Value of LM+38.

Matthew Jones, Telford Shropshire was in at 8000gns to claim the maiden heifer Wilodge Gracie. This Cerberus daughter is out of the Sympa cow that produced the noted Wilodge Fastrac. She has a Beef Value LM+41.

Matching the bid were Nigel and Jane Matthews to claim Wilodge Goldrush – a maiden heifer by Cerberus and out of the successful cow Sarkley Bellola. Goldrush has a Beef Value of LM+40.
