Lleyn females in demand at Ross-on-Wye

The Lleyn Society’s sale at Ross-on-Wye resulted in surge in demand across all sections, with females particularly in demand from eager buyers.

Top call in the males on the day was a 2000gns sale for a ram from Emrys and Dylan Jones, Machynlleth, when he sold to S L Keswick.

Meanwhile, leading the females was a £260/head bid for shearling ewes from Helen Wells, Cardigan. These were by Penywern Squinty and sold to R S T and S A Morgan.

A new centre record was set for the ewe lambs on offer when Dai and Cynthia Morris, Carmarthen, sold their third prize pen off lambs at £260. These were by Penywenr Maldwyn, Royal Welsh champion this year and sold to G Jones.
