Meat ribs auctioned for charity

THE RIBS that won the National Festival of Meat Beef Ribs final were auctioned off at the Show to raise 550 for the ARC-Addington Fund.

The competition was won by Robert Needham who generously donated the money raised from the auction to the charity.

The 8kg ribs were purchased by the Duke of Westminster, who is president of the Royal Smithfield Club.

The winning ribs came from a heifer with a Belgian Blue sire and a Lincoln red dam.
