More Smithfield first day cattle results

Here are a raft more cattle results from today’s judging here at Smithfield, among the Limousin heifers the heavyweight class went to Ewen MacPherson and Sons with Lady Catriona, second was the Macphersons again with Amazing Grace.

In the Limousin steers the first class went to Christine Williams and Paul Tippets with The Stig, while second was Mike and Jean Dickens with Digby. In the second class Elfed Williams took the honours with Stop-n-Stare, while second was the Rice Family with Honky Tonk.

The heavyweight Limousin steer class, meanwhile was taken by Frank Jones with Llanfair Caleb and second here was Colin Hutchings with Oggie Oggie Oggie.

Taking the lead in the British Blue sired heifer class was Phil and Sharon Sellers with Limited Edition and second here was Tecwyn Jones with Black Beauty.


Mike and Jean Dickens were back in action in the first of the British Blue steer classes, taking first place with R.H, in second were Phil and Sharon Sellers again with The Chancer.

Then the Sellers went one better in then Charolais section taking the top spot in the heifer class with Chardonay, a class winner from Wales on Monday. In second was Elfed Williams with Sugar Puff.

The first of the Charolais steer classes went to Will Owen with Crackerjack, while second was Frank Jones and Son with Gucci.
