National All Breed Show 2010 – Holstein pair win interbreed champion


BURKE presentation - web.jpgInterbreed pairs champion and winner of the Dairy Burke prize is the Holstein pair.


Judge, Seimon Thomas was looking for air, poise and a good all round example of the breed and he found what he was looking for in the black and whites.


The winning two included Supreme Holstein champion, Berryholme Shottle Flo from H Wright and Son, Berryholme, Kendal and Smiddiehill Durm Ashlyn from Riverdane Holsteins/W J Nadin and Co, Ravencroft Hall Farm, Middlewich.


Berryholme Shottle Flo is classified Ex 90 and is by Picston Shottle and out of the Ex94 cow, Holmland Storm Flo which was three times Champion at the Northern Expo.


Smiddiehill Durm Ashlyn is by Ragencrest Elton Durham and out of Tri-Day Ashlyn which was voted best cow in the world.
