Queen’s pedigree Ayrshire dairy herd set for dispersal

The Queen’s 180-cow pedigree Ayrshire herd based at Home Park, Windsor, is to be dispersed.

The herd was established in 1951 by King George VI and passed on to his daughtershortly after his death.

It is expected that the much sought-after dairy cattle will be available for private purchasers through the Ayrshire Cattle Society in the coming months.
