RHS 2012: Limousin bull secures overall championship
Limousins continued on their winning streak at this year’s Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh when a Limousin bull was awarded the title of overall beef champion.
Hafodlas Domino was put forward by Doug Mash, Torrington Farm, Buckinghamshire. This one was bred by Alan Roberts in North Wales – he is by Bailea Spunkie and out of Hafodas Shona.
Today’s win follows on from taking the title of male champion at Newark. Mr Mash now plans to take him on to the East of England and Yorkshire shows.
Judge Jimmy McMillan from Brechin said: “My champion was a tremendous bull with a great loin on him – he looked really sweet as he was walking towards you. The Simmental was a tremendous cow with two great calves.”
