Ryelands reach 780gns at Ludlow

Selling to a top call of 780gns at the Ryeland Society’s sale at Ludlow was a shearling ram from David Lewis’ Arberth flock, Pembrokeshire. This one, a Ruslin Champion son, sold to P Wilkinson for his Gracewood flock, Yorkshire.

David later reinvested some of his earnings, paying 400gns for a ram from from J E O and C Lloyd, Parkmill.

Female trade topped at 530gns for a ewe lamb which stood female champion from the pre-sale show. This one was from A Robinson, Wigton, and is a Hawthorns Hadyn daughter. Buyer was C and G Shaw for the Roston flock. Shearling ewes were led at 320gns for one from the show judge J Donovan which sold to J Stone.
