Scottish Charolais show title goes to Murray Lyle

Championship honours at the Scottish and Northern Charolais Breeders’ national show last weekend went to Murray Lyle’s junior bull Lamerpark Champion. This Weybread Archie son is out of a cow going back to Balthayock Matthew and had previously stood reserve male and junior interbreed champion at the Royal Highland Show.


Reserve champion was five year old cow Balbithan Voile, bred by Messrs White, and exhibited by Andrew Hornall. This one is by Baggrave Minstrel and was bought privately.  She was shown with her Gower Armani heifer calf at foot.09SNCBBalbithanVoile.jpgJunior male champion was Thrunton Daredevil, an 18 month old Burradon Talisman son form the Campbell family, Alnwick. He was also part of Thrunton’s winning pair and team of three.


Reserve female and junior female champion was Loganbar Delia from Murray Lyle. She’s a Balmyle Addition daughter.
