Shorthorn junior champion nets day’s top call

The junior champion Shorthorn from the Horrell family, Pode Hole Beefeater, a son out of the same dam as the family’s great show cow Pode Hole Madeleine Zeta and by Trojan of Craigeassie sold at the day’s highest Shorthorn price of 14,000gns.

This one with a TSI of +16 and an SRI of +13 sold to Martin Moor and Jack Ramsey in a two way split.

A few lots earlier, the reserve champion junior Shorthorn from Jack Ramsay sold at 6800gns. He was Millerston Burns Supper, a son of Blenbrae Yogie out of Millerston Gretta Yvette, a Wenmar Topnotch daughter.

 And then at 9000gns was the best from James Playfair, Tofts Landlord. This Tofts Shoufleur son is out of Tofts Lovely, a Trunley Rocky daughter. He has a TSI of +26 and an SRI of +21 and sold to Morrison Farms, Dumfries House.
