Skipton Charollais females reach 1000gns twice

A brace of 1000gns bids led the trade at Skipton’s in-lamb Charollais female sale. The first to sell at this price was the pre-sale champion, a ewe by breed record holder Banwy Immense. This two shear ewe was sold in-lamb to Gogwell Kicking King and was bought by James Winter, Appleby.

Second to trade at this money was a shearling ewe from Kenton Foster’s Garriston flock. She sold to Neville Smith, Lothersdale. This one was carrying twins by Coventry Fosterman.

Selling at 900gns was another from Mr Foster. This daughter of Fosterman sold to Mr Winter, having been third in the pre-sale show.

Following on at 860gns, 800gns twice and 750gns were more shearlings by Banwy Immense from the Geldards. And at 850gns Mark Worthington, Ramsbottom, sold a daughter of Wraycastle Indigo, while the same price was given for a shearling by Southam Exotic from Patricia Arrand, Thirsk.
