Skipton dairy trade hits £1990 high

Top call at Monday’s Craven dairy sale at Skipton was a £1990 bid for a fresh calved heifer from Richard Barron, Hellifield, which sold to Wick Williams, Nantwich.

Second best of £1930 was paid for the day’s champion from the pre-sale show, a fresh-calved heifer by homebred sire Smellows Coriolanius, from Jeremy Taylor, Broughton. This one sold to Mr Williams giving 29kg a day.

At £1890 was another fresh calved heifer from Mr Taylor, while a pair from Edward Fort, Silsden, sold at £1800. (Craven Cattle Marts).
