Skipton Lleyns sell well to hit 1300gns
Lleyn prices reached a top call of 1300gns at Skipton last Thursday when Graham and Mandy Fort, Steeton, Keighley, sold their second prize shearling tup to Harry Taylor, Hebden Bridge. This one is by a tup bred by Dai and Cynthia Morris, St Clears.
Second top call in the tups was a 920gns bid for the first prize shearling from Hamish Goldie, Dumfries. This is by a tup bred by W J and D J Williams, Nefyn, and sold to M J A and S I J Shields, Otley.
Leading the ewes were a pen of five from Mr Goldie which sold at ÂŁ160/head to Nigel Fortnam, Dumfries. Next best was a ÂŁ152 bid for the first prize pen from David Alexander which sold to Andrew Hodsman, Malton.
