Small but quality entries see’s £2400gns top at Lancaster

Entries may have been lacking at this month’s Lancaster dairy sale, but quality certainly wasn’t which was reflected in the top price of 2400gns.

Leading the day’s trade was Stardale Dictator Vaakje 4, a daughter of Overside Dictator who was  made champion early in the day. Forwad from James Burrows, this one sold giving 34kg to regular buyer Neil Sanderson, Cumbria.

Cow prices levelled at 2000gns for Dunnerdale Drake Helen forward from Wilson and Stephen Boow, Dunnerdale Hedr. This one who was six weeks in to her second lactation and was giving 49kg daily sold to Messrs Wallbank.

Four other heifers sold more than 1900gns with Ian and Richard Gorst’s Saltoke Rebecca122 making 1950gns.
