South of England sheep championship to Southdown

It was a good day for Taking Stock here at South of England today with the interbreed sheep title going to the Southdown champion, a shearling ewe from my own Chaileybrook flock. She is by our imported French tup TC4028 which we brought in back in 2005 and is out of a homebred ewe which herself was reserve breed champion here in 2004.

Standing reserve was a homebred North Country Cheviot tup from Don and Jo Masters’ flock based at Goudhurst, Kent.
