Stirling Angus champions enjoy mixed fortunes
The Angus champions from this morning’s pre-sale show have enjoyed mixed fortunes, with the reserve overall champion Eastfield Black Bandit from Ewan Brewis selling at 11,000gns to Mr Harkess, Orkney.
However, the first of the champions through the ring was the senior and overall champion, Lockerley Kougar from the Van Geests. This Lockerley Rocky son was passed unsold at 5000gns.
Then the reserve senior champion, Newton-Struthers Eric from Messrs Rhind went under the hammer with this Retanach Pirate son being sold at 3500gns to Donald Biggar, Chapelton.
After that came the intermediate champion, Auldhouseburn Fergus from Hugh Blackwood. He’s by Duncanziemere Judge and was knocked down at 6000gns to Terry Coghill, Orkney.
The reserve intermeiate reserve champion Perkhill Emperor from Alex and Philippa Davie then stirred the ringside into action when he was sold at 6800gns, this is a Rosemount Black Knight son and to Mr McLaren.
The reserve junior champion, Cheeklaw Parmount from the Lucas family then entered the ring and sold at 5000gns. He’s by Tweedside Jewgal.
