Strong dairy entry sees prices to £2,000
A strong dairy entry at Holsworthy Market, Exeter, last week (10 February) saw cows sell to £2,000 twice and heifers to £1,800.
First at this money was an outstanding second calver Chettiscombe Stratos Maggie 11 by Shawnee Altasratos, which sold giving 41kgs for Ian, Caroline and Jess Tapp, Tiverton, who also sold another second calver to £1,650.

Messrs GG and JM Jenkin, Helston, saw their second calver, Mabec Melody Skylark VG86 by Moet Melody, also sell at £2,000.
At £1,800 was another second calver Janke Shottle Bluebell by Picston Shottle from Keith and Jane Hulbert, Honiton, who sold another super consignment as part of their ongoing dispersal.
They had other cows sell to £1,800, £1,720, £1,650 and £1,600 for two fourth calvers.
Heifers topped at £1,800 for a Danish Red-cross from Ken and Cathie Cottey, Whimple, who sold British Friesian Heifers to £1,400 twice.
