Texels from John Vaughan’s Vorn flock, Bodenham, Herefordshire, sold to a top price of 1,750gns at Worcester on Saturday, 21 May.
A ewe hogg, sired by Vorn Vodka Joe, with her April-born lamb at foot, took the top price on the day, going to DM Prince, Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
They also took a two-year-old ewe, sired by Vorn Tee Jay and out of a Roxburgh Spitfire ewe, with lamb at foot for 960gns.
Meanwhile, a three-year-old sired by Vorn Typecast with twin ram and ewe lambs went for 800gns to M Fear, Bristol, who also took two other Vorn lots, including a four-year-old Roxburgh Spitfire daughter with twin ram and ewe lambs for 720gns.
Also selling were aged Beltex-cross ewes with lambs at foot from David and Linda Wadland, Northamptonshire.
Setting the pace was a four-year-old Texel-cross ewe with a single Blue Texel ewe lamb that went for £380 to L Morgan, Swansea.
The same buyer took three six-year-old Beltex-cross ewes with Beltex lambs at foot, paying £320 for one and £290 each for the other two.
