Three Counties Show:Angus bull takes champion title

The beef interbreed championship has just been announced and taking the top spot was local farmer Jeremy Price from Herefordshire with his Aberdeen Angus bull Oakchurch Diplomat. By Oakchurch Dominator and out of Oakchurch Red Delia this was Diplomat’s first outing this year. This three year old bull was native breed champion at the Three Counties as a Junior.




1662012 3C Beef Champion.JPGIn reserve was Smiths of Bloxham with their 2.5 year old Limousin cow Ironstone Dumandy. This one has had much show success this year taking the interbreed title at North Somerset, Newark and the Surrey County Show and next heads to the Royal Highland.

Judge David Barker said: “The Angus was full of quality, had natural fleshing and moved extremely well for its size.”
