A six-month-old homebred pure Pietrain gilt,weighing in at 61.5kg, won the pig championship.
She was bred and exhibited by Tomos Wyn Howatson,from Dinbych, who also won the pairs championship with her earlier in the day.
In reserve spot was Huw and Ela Roberts, fromGwynedd with their homebred pedigree Welsh gilt, weighing 79kg.
The July-born single hasn’t been shown anywhereelse and clinched the Robert’s their first reserve title at the Welsh todate.
The Roberts were also awarded reserve in the classof pairs.
Judge David Palmer, from North Yorkshire, said hischampion had “good confirmation and in all the right places”. He added: It hasa good solid leg, loin, middle and shoulder.”
