Wormers not working

Resistance to wormers is on the increase, warn specialists at SAC Vet Services.

More than 60% of Scottish flocks using products containing benzimidazole are not effective at killing all parasitic worms and resistance to levamisole and macrocyclic lactone is on the rise, it says.

Producers should review wormer strategies by attending a series of free EU-funded workshops this spring.
