Yearling ewes sell to strong trade at Welsh dispersal

A large crowd attended the dispersal sale of the entire commercial sheep flock together with associated sheep equipment at Panteg Farm, Llanbedr, Crickhowell last week.
The sale commenced with numerous lots of sheep equipment including a Poldenvale Sheep Race which attracted considerable interest reaching £700.

The yearling ewes followed, being shown in their working condition sold to a good trade reaching £100 for Suffolk cross Mules.

Flock Ewes sold to a strong trade yet again with Suffolk cross two year olds achieving £120.

Ewe and Store Lambs gained greater interest reaching £63 for two lots of Texel cross Ewe Lambs.

A Full Mouth Texel ram was the highlight of the breeding rams topping at £290 with the remainder fetching between £140-£250.
