Deere claims that the latest version of the website looks and functions better than ever while remaining free to use.

A key feature of the site is the electronic parts catalogues which covers all agricultural and groundscare machines produced since the mid 1970s.

Deere says that the data is drawn from John Deere’s master file and is exactly the same system that dealers use on their parts counter – so any updates are seen online with immediate effect.

Drawings and parts lists in the catalogues can be emailed or printed out making it easy to identify specific parts.

When using the site visitors can find the price and check availability at the local dealership.

Much like shopping on-line the required parts can be added to a shopping cart so the customer can build up an order to submit to the dealer.

To use the system customers must register their name and address details online, and select their local dealer. To order parts using the system, they then just need to agree terms of payment and delivery with the chosen dealer.

Functions such as the parts catalogue are still available for customers who choose not to register.
