Cereals 2006 : Liquid cyprodinil on the way

Syngenta is trialling a liquid formulation of cyprodinil which, approval permitting, could be available for growers to use in barley next season.

“Trials have shown that it has more curative activity on key barley diseases such as rhynchosporium,” the firm’s Matt Pickard said.

“As a partner for prothioconazole [to help protect azole activity against rhynchosporium] it should make a lot of sense.”
