Agritechnica 2025: Bednar debuts high-output precision drill
© MAG/Oliver Mark Speed and accuracy will apparently be the key selling points of Bednar’s first precision drill when it enters production in a couple of years.
The Ultra UN, seen here as a prototype 6m-wide 6000 model, will sow myriad crops including maize, sugar beet and oilseed rape – and do so at 15-20% quicker than the competition, it is claimed.

This is partly thanks to Bednar’s in-house developed – and soon to be patented – singulation system.
Allied to this is a new row unit featuring a double-disc opener and accompanying depth wheel to cut a slot of consistent depth into which the seed is dropped.
This is pressed into place by a central wheel, then properly put to bed by a further two wheels in V formation.
Fertiliser can also be applied in the same pass, via outlets aft of straight-cutting discs at the front.
