Kuhn’s VB variable-chamber baler and VBP baler-wrapper are now available with a humidity sensor and bale weigher to help users monitor and improve forage quality.

The humidity sensor can measure forage with up to 40% moisture content, allowing operators to hit a target dry matter. It is available on all VB and VBP ranges this year and can be retrofitted to older models.

Baler-wrapper models, both fixed and variable-chamber, now have an optional bale weigher mounted on the wrapping table. This provides the operator with a rolling three-bale average to give a better estimate of total yield.

Finally, Kuhn’s SB large square baler models have an adapted pick-up with a new powered feed roller that follows the swath to improve intake, and a bigger 3,750mm bale channel and nine cylinders help to cram more material in.
