The Profitable Farming Company exhibited a clever system for tagging hay bales with key information on moisture content, dry matter, weight and position in the field from where they came from.

A unit on the baler puts the information on the tag electronically and then attaches it to a bale string.

The loader driver can then read the tag from up to 15 feet away and separate bales accordingly. This is likely to appeal to farmers selling hay to the increasingly important horse market.
