LAMMA 2012: Bomford serves up a treat

Bomford’s useful-looking rotary ditch cleaner is designed to be used with its reach arm mowers, such as the Falcon, Buzzard and B81-81. The cleaner has a 660mm diameter rotary cutting head and three cutting blades, with three blowing blades set in between them.

Both standard and high-speed versions are available, with the option of manual or hydraulic adjustment of the chute and rotation angle, according to Bomford’s marketing manager Chris Tucker.

The head itself is able to rotate through 360° in 45° steps, while the discharge chute provides the option of six different positions on the manual version or infinitely variable adjustment up to 70° on the hydraulic option.

The £6,650 standard version has an oil flow of 80-125 litres a minute and rotates at 205-320rpm. The high-speed version requires 80-100 litres a minute and has a cutter head rotor speed of 400-500rpm for greater throw of material.
