Linhai to sell Perkins-powered farm buggies

If you are looking for a well-priced diesel farm buggy, West Yorkshire firm Linhai Industries reckons its latest LH800U can cut the mustard.

Like its predecessor, badged as Farr, the LH800U uses a three-cylinder, 762cc water-cooled Perkins diesel driving through a CVT transmission with high, low and reverse.

Towing capacity is 680kg and the cargo box holds 400kg.

Meanwhile, the fuel tank holds 35 litres and has the obvious benefit of running off the farm’s diesel store.

Cost is £9,995 and Linhai says it plans to sell the machines from its base at Elland via 10-15 dealers across the UK.

Several retailers from Scotland, Cumbria and Lincolnshire have already signed up, says the firm’s Duncan Wildman.

Spec includes glass windscreen/wiper, winch and towbar.

There is also a hard-top option and a load area cover.

The units have a three-year warranty from Linhai Industries, coupled with a two-year engine warranty from Perkins.

Though the farm buggy is the main product being sold, the company says it will also bringing in petrol-powered 400cc and 700cc ATVs.
