New Ford Ranger to be launched at Aussie Motor Show

The all-new Ford Ranger makes its world debut at the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney next month (15 October).

It will use a global compact truck platform developed in Australia, and promises to deliver more power and improved fuel economy from a new engine family. Ford has also improved the towing and payload capacity.

The comprehensively redesigned, new-generation compact pick-up will be on sale in 180 global markets and is the latest in a wave of global products driven by the ONE Ford strategy.

Designed and engineered at Ford Australia’s Campbellfield product development and Geelong proving ground facilities, the new model will be based on a new global compact truck platform and will go on sale in Britain in autumn 2011.
